We bought tickets for a Sunday matinee performance of "Come from Away" several weeks in advance of our visit to Toronto. We were in seats 29 and 30 of Row GG (center orchestra 7 rows from the stage). These are excellent seats; there is an extra seat in this row so the view of the stage is between two seats of Row FF.The play was excellent, telling the story when 38 planes landed in Gander, Newfoundland when all flights to the United Stares were grounded during the 9/11 attack. About 7,500 passengers were heroically accommodated by the 12,000 citizens of that little town. The play, a musical, has many funny as well as poignant momentsShow less
Beautiful environment for stage plays. Comfortable seating and lots of leg room (I'm over 6'). Aisle G left and right sections have room to stretch out your legs. Saw Come From Away. Moving and inspirational show.
Very unique style compared to other theaters in Toronto. I watched Come from away here, and it was a phenomenal play. The elevator itself is an attraction, (fun fact: It's designed by the same person that designed the Titanic) and the entire place feels like something from an era long past. Looking forward to exploring the nooks and crannies during my next visit
Nostalgic. Terrific ambience. Great service. Quaint bar - Warm welcoming friendly lots of smiles attending staff. Comfortable seats lots of leg space. Book in advance. The theatre is always full. And on top of that watched Come from Away - Cant ask for more and very proud of my fellow Canadians.
We went to see "Come from Away at the Elgin Theatre and the production was outstanding! The theatre itself is a beautiful, ornate well kept theatre. We sat in the mezzanine on the left side aisle 4 rows back from the railing and the view was great. We can't imagine any seat being bad in there. The ticket purchasing process was simple and so was entering the theatre. The staff were helpful guiding us to our seats. One small letdown was the condition of the washrooms. If I could give a 4.75 I would.
