Hidden gem - great for events and affordable
This is the place for weddings parties anything really it's a nice old house old Toronto in the past nice Garden the nice indoor garden. they have a nice gazebo with floral plants buy a circular window.. the paneling on the walls are made of old wooden oak. It is very nice environment for weddings parties bar mitzvahs. I would recommend this place in Thornhill.
Went to a bridal shower and it was stunning. We walked around the house and spoke to one of the staff who maintains the property and he gave us some history of the place. Amazing!
Absolutely beautiful location. My band played at and attended a wedding here and it was more than spectacular.
Had my wedding at Heintzman. Was a great small venue for our 110 guests. The bridal suite is stunning, we even did some photos in there. The house is able to accommodate 113 but it is tight, however doable. Our caterer was Food For Thought, which was 10/10 delicious. The staff at the City of Markham was very helpful during the wedding planning process, and always quick to respond to my hundreds of emails. I would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue for someone looking for a more intimate, classic feel.
We just wrapped up a beautiful reception at this venue. Great for receptions of 100 people or less! They were very accomodating and helped us design the best flow for that space.
They have a beautiful piano onsite that can be used as well as TONS Of parking. Our caterers loved the kitchen they had onsite. The BEST feature however, was the amazing bridal suite(s) upstairs. STUNNING for pictures and also making you feel like royalty on your big day.
Great place! I recommend them!
Heintzman House is a wonderful venue for couples looking for a tucked away manor with an old soul.
The property is a not-for-profit establishment which is why it's a diamond in the rough! For couples who live in the outskirts of the GTA (Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket), Heintzman is a sure thing. Because it's not downtown, you aren't going to pay downtown fees and rates - and you can spend your day getting ready on-site in their gorgeous bridal suite. The grounds are wonderful for photos (namely the balcony, the front lawn, the staircase, and the lounge).
It can be done beautifully if you can stretch your décor budget to bring in some vintage furniture and upscale dining chairs for your reception. If you can funnel some of what you would have paid being downtown on the "pretty" details, than you can bet it will be money well spent!
Heintzman House has huge potential and comes at a very attractive sticker price (did we mention they have a PARKING lot in the back??). Make sure you consider this venue in your search for the perfect event space.
Heintzman House is the perfect venue for weddings up to 100 guests, on-site ceremony option, bring your own caterer option and more. We've been a recommended DJ there for 25 years.
