I go to utm and I use the shuttle that takes me to hart house. I wait inside the building for the bus sometimes. Its really nice! Reminds me of an old movie or like hog warts. Good for photo shoots.
We were so happy to have chosen Hart House for our wedding. Great food, amazing staff and a stunning backdrop. Everything worked out very smoothly and exactly as planned. Tara was fantastic to work with throughout the planning process and did a great job coordinating with our vendors. She is exceptionally organized and made what could have been a stressful day so seamless. Thank you!
Beautiful place to get married if you are looking for that grand approach and offer a classy place. Beautiful walk outside called the Philospher Walk too. Tara is a very friendly and helpful event planner.
Went here to see Rocky Horror Picture Show(amazing). It was an absolutely beautiful place. Lots of articles on the wall about different historical plays, actor and actresses, directors etc. The theatre is beautiful as well. If you have any chance to see any play here, go. Show up a little early to look around.
Saw rocky horror picture show tonight and it was fantastic! The venue is nice and comfortable - seats arent too close or squished together and the room is big enough for a great crowd but not so large that seats in the back would have a hard time seeing whats going on.
Hart House is aptly named as its brilliant castle walls have played host to thousands of beautiful love stories.
Easily it is one of our favourite places we have had the privilege of performing at over the years (in no small part because of the full-sized grand pianos that are always in perfect tune.)
Its continued popularity is no secret with the enchanting architecture and warm atmosphere enhanced by their incredibly helpful and friendly sales team. Love is always in the air at Hart House *****
We have booked bands for clients at this very classy venue and love it!
I photographed a wedding at Hart House in 2003 and I loved the venue so much that I decided to have my own wedding there in 2005. They were excellent to work with as a photographer and of course, I got amazing treatment as a bride. I had a winter wedding and this venue was absolutely perfect with it's cozy fireplace, gothic architecture and high ceilings. We also had a lot of music at our wedding and the acoustics were fantastic. It probably helped that a piano tuner came in before the music began. Even though my wedding took place in February, we still managed to get photos outdoors!
The wedding I photographed in 2003 took place in the summer and they made use of the courtyard as well as The Great Hall.
In 2015, I photographed another wedding in the smaller music room there. That was also the perfect place for a ceremony and the grounds of Hart House are one of my favourite places to photograph people in all of Toronto.
Hart House holds a special place in my heart as I spent a lot of time there during my University days at U of T. When Sarah & Nick asked me to plan their wedding at Hart House, I was very excited about the opportunity. The venue was very special to them as well, as they had met their while attending U of T. From start to finish the staff at Hart House was welcoming and professional making it a pleasure to work with them. If you are looking for a unique and stunning historic space to host your wedding - and one that offers an outdoor garden space with magnificent architecture and charm (something which is hard to find in downtown Toronto) - you should definitely consider Hart House.
