An absolute Delight to visit. The staff is very knowledgeable and really Keen to share their knowledge. The place has still maintained the same charm and aura as it possibly would have had in the 1700s. I must visit if you are a history buff or if you have been watching a lot of Frontier or any other similar shows and just want to experience the ambience!!!

We really loved this place when we went round. The buildings were very interesting and the people brought it to life for us. We got to have discussions on the such varied things as Pigs value to the communities back then to the spices used in the local inns kitchens. The metal working shop was also fascinating to watch, if lived nearer id be back regularly. P.s. Although for kids we also enjoyed the trail of youngsters getting into work.

We visited Black Creek Pioneer Village for the escape game "Where Dark Things Dwell". We were a bit worried about the weather for a couple of reasons. It's started out as the hottest day of the year and there was an imminent threat of thunder and lightning. Officially, the game was to be cancelled if there was lightning, so we were hoping to complete the mission before the weather hit. We had a fabulous game regardless though !The actors that help support the game bring in an aspect of roleplaying, which really added to my experience. Puzzles were well done, I don't want to spoil anything, but the tasks were challenging to some of the most veteran players in our group. Bring comfortable shoes though, since there can be a considerable amount of walking. I really got my money's worth out of this visit and recommend it to escape game enthusiasts. I also think it would be appropriate for first time players too, since there is a lot of staff support throughout.

Lots of historical buildings to look at and stuff to see inside the houses. They bake their own bread and make lemonade (both get sold out very quickly). The place has a feeling of a two-century old village, the only problem is that all you can do is just wander around looking and maybe feeding the sheep. Would be great to have more hands-on activities for kids, otherwise they get bored very soon.

Great spot to bring the kids to learn about history in Ontario. The staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable. Similar to upper Canada village but not quite as big. Worth the drive if you've never been there

Having an outdoor event is always nice and even more so when you are surrounded by heritage homes and old time structures. There is a charm in holding one's event at Black Creek Pioneer Village, and even more so if you love animals. :) It's a lovely venue.

We loved being part of the unique culinary and heritage experience celebrating local food, businesses and history at Black Creek’s Local Food Festival!

Seeing the heritage educators demonstrating how rural families in the 19th century made a product similar to ours and how they prepared for the harvest was an awesome experience.

We're looking forward to being at Black Creek Pioneer Village time and time again.
