Excellent experience. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Nahri (sorry for the spelling) was very helpful with info about weaving and helping me do the various steps. She was also very kind and patient while I was learning. I will be back. Thanks
Wonderful place to see in Toronto. An excellent show how the beginning of Canada looked like. The work of people playing as blacksmith, tin maker or horse accessories maker is outstanding. Very informative, accessible by people in wheelchairs or with strollers. Essentially - a must see place for anybody who is interested in history.
Great way to step back in time to experience how early settlers went about their daily activities. Well laid out village with many hands on activities for everyone. Farm animals on site. Friendly staff answer questions and guide you through the village buildings demonstrating a variety of tasks and games. Weekends are busy and on weekdays you may experience groups visiting for the day but children 14 and under enjoy free admission Monday-Friday. The park is able to host special occasions and events too. Well worth visiting this heritage museum. Services available for a fee and fine gift shop and food available. On site paid parking. Save on admission by becoming a member.
An absolute Delight to visit. The staff is very knowledgeable and really Keen to share their knowledge. The place has still maintained the same charm and aura as it possibly would have had in the 1700s. I must visit if you are a history buff or if you have been watching a lot of Frontier or any other similar shows and just want to experience the ambience!!!
We really loved this place when we went round. The buildings were very interesting and the people brought it to life for us. We got to have discussions on the such varied things as Pigs value to the communities back then to the spices used in the local inns kitchens. The metal working shop was also fascinating to watch, if lived nearer id be back regularly. P.s. Although for kids we also enjoyed the trail of youngsters getting into work.
The Pavilion is perfect for a semi-outdoor event! I always love attending events here and I even chose this venue for my wedding. It really is a lovely venue.
Having an outdoor event is always nice and even more so when you are surrounded by heritage homes and old time structures. There is a charm in holding one's event at Black Creek Pioneer Village, and even more so if you love animals. :) It's a lovely venue.
We loved being part of the unique culinary and heritage experience celebrating local food, businesses and history at Black Creek’s Local Food Festival!
Seeing the heritage educators demonstrating how rural families in the 19th century made a product similar to ours and how they prepared for the harvest was an awesome experience.
We're looking forward to being at Black Creek Pioneer Village time and time again.
We love getting our hands on the Pavilion. It is such a great location for an event. Looking forward to coming back many times in 2015
